2026 Naminoue Beach (波の上ビーチ) Full-Day Course
A one-day course for enjoying everything from a Naha city walk to a swim in the sea, starring Naminoue Beach (波の上ビーチ) in Naha City, open from Sunday, April 5 to Saturday, October 31, 2026. In the morning, hunt for souvenirs and take in the Okinawan mood on Kokusai Street (国際通り), Naha's liveliest shopping avenue, then savor a lunch of island fish and Okinawan dishes at the Daiichi Makishi Public Market (第一牧志公設市場). Naminoue-gu Shrine (波上宮), a short distance from the market, has a vermilion hall rising atop a cliff, and beyond its torii gate spreads the very sea of Naminoue Beach (波の上ビーチ) where you are about to swim: a superb location. After praying for a safe trip, take the stairs straight down to Naminoue Beach (波の上ビーチ). It is the swimming beach closest to central Naha, and although it sits just steps from the bustle of the city, the water is remarkably clear. Access from Kokusai Street (国際通り) and the Naha Bus Terminal (那覇バスターミナル) is good, making it convenient for family trips by public transport. Splash at the water's edge, play in the sand, and spend a leisurely time until evening. It is an indulgent course that lets you taste the charms of both Naha's city and its sea in one day. Why not grab your swimsuit and towel and head out to the summer sea of Okinawa?
