2026 Hamatamacho Fireworks Festival - Full Day Itinerary
A one-day course centered around the Hamatamacho Fireworks Festival held on July 24, 2026 (Friday) at Hamasaki Beach in Hamatamacho, Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture. Begin with a midday stroll through Rainbow Pine Grove, one of Japan's three greatest pine forests, and enjoy the landscape formed by the pine forest and Karatsu Bay. Continue to Kagami Mountain Observation Platform for photography from this scenic vantage point overlooking the pine grove and bay. In the afternoon, enjoy swimming and water activities at Hamasaki Beach to experience a true summer day, then secure a viewing spot for the fireworks while dining near the beach. From 8 PM to 8:30 PM, approximately 1,300 fireworks illuminate the night sky above Karatsu Bay. This is a unique Karatsu day plan combining pine forest walks, beach activities, and fireworks.
