2026 Arita Summer Festival: Cooling Fireworks Display, A Full One-Day Course
This full-day course centers on the Arita Summer Festival Cooling Fireworks Display, held at Arita History and Culture Forest Park in Arita, Saga Prefecture, on Sunday, October 4, 2026. At midday, learn about the history of pottery at the Kyushu Ceramic Museum inside the venue, then walk through the traditional townscape of Arita Uchiyama and enjoy browsing kiln workshops. In the afternoon, visit Tozan Shrine and see the unusual sight of a torii gate made of Arita porcelain. In the evening, return to the venue, have dinner, and secure a spot to watch the fireworks. From 7:00 PM, fireworks color the night sky of this pottery town. This is a plan unique to Arita that combines a historical stroll through pottery culture with fireworks, letting you fully savor the charm of this 400-year-old porcelain village.
