2026 Taku Yama Kasa Full-Day Experience Course
Centered on the first day of the 'Taku Yama Kasa' festival, held throughout Kita Taku Town in Taku City, Saga Prefecture (held August 15-16, 2026, both days from 5 PM to 10 PM), this full-day course lets you enjoy the festival's highlights. During the day, visit the Taku Sanctuary, one of Japan's three major Confucian sanctuaries, and touch the history of this scholarly town's quiet learning traditions. Next, stroll through Saikei Park, known as a cherry blossom viewing spot, then preview the Yama Kasa and local traditions at the adjacent Taku City Local Museum. In late afternoon, grab an early dinner at the food stalls near the station and venue before 5 PM arrives, when magnificent Yama Kasa emerge throughout Kita Taku Town. With shouts and energy, the procession parades through the night, with food stalls lining the streets and creating a vibrant festival atmosphere.
