2026 Murata Obon Dance - Full Day Experience Course
A full-day course centered on the Murata Obon Dance (August 9, 2026・Murata Town Central Community Hall parking lot) held in Murata Town's historic warehouse district, also called the 'Kyoto of Michinoku.' Spend the afternoon strolling through Murata's white-walled and black-plastered warehouses and learning about the town's history at the History & Future Hall. Continue at the Murata Michi no Eki to discover local specialties, then let children play and cool off at the Central Park. As evening falls, you'll be drawn by the aromas of food stalls, and at 5 p.m., you'll join the Obon dance circle. The lanterns of the yagura glow softly in the historic warehouse town, creating a warm summer evening where the whole community dances together. An ideal course for families to enjoy both historical exploration and festive spirit in one day.
