2026 Shiraishi Summer Festival - Full Day Experience Course
A one-day course centered on the "Shiraishi Summer Festival" (August 8, 2026; Shiraishi Station-front Street) held in Shiraishi City, a castle town connected to the Katakura family. Start at midday with cute foxes at Zao Fox Village, then experience the history of the castle town at Shiraishi Castle with its wooden-restored keep. Continue to the Japanese Garden Hekisui-en to enjoy coolness, and quietly visit Tamura Shrine connected to the Katakura family. In the evening, food stalls line up in front of Shiraishi Station street, and at 17:00, the festival begins in earnest. A recommended course for families to experience in one day both the castle town's historical walk and the bustling food stalls that fill the station-front street.
