2026 Hagi Summer Festival Full-Day Course
A full-day course celebrating the opening day of the Hagi Summer Festival (August 1–3, 2026; Kikugahama Beach, Tamachi Shopping Street, and Yoshida Street), which brings color to the summer of Hagi, the castle town that nurtured late Edo period visionaries. In the morning, experience the historical atmosphere at Hagi Castle Ruins Shizuki Park, explore samurai residences like Kikuya House along the white-walled castle town streets, and learn about the origins of the Meiji Restoration at Shoka Sonjuku. After an early supper at Tamachi Shopping Street, Kikugahama becomes the festival stage in the evening. On August 3rd, the festival's final day, approximately 60 food stalls line the shopping areas from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., creating a lively gathering that marks the perfect conclusion to Hagi's summer.
