2026 Tsurugi Town Summer Festival Awa Odori Dance Competition Full-Day Experience
A full-day course celebrating the first day of the 'Tsurugi Town Summer Festival Awa Odori Dance Competition' (August 15, 2026) held in the Sadamitsu district of Tsurugi Town at the foot of Mount Tsurugi. In the afternoon, explore the townscape with its rare two-tier udatsu structures unique to this area, visit the Former Nagai Family Manor House, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, and enjoy the scenic beauty of Minoda no Fuchi created by the clear Yoshino River. After an early dinner at the Roadside Station Sadamitsu Yuyu-kan, from 7 PM the Sadamitsu central shopping street and surroundings of the Former Manor House become the venue for the Awa Odori Dance Competition. This is an enjoyable course featuring the contrast between the quiet historic atmosphere of day and the festive energy of night, with the historic manor house as its stage.
