2026 Yoshinogawa City Awa Odori Festival: A Full One-Day Course
This full-day course is centered on the Kamojima Awa Odori (August 16, 2026), held in Yoshinogawa City along the banks of the Yoshino River. During the day, walk beneath the wisteria trellis at Fujiidera, one of the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Sacred Sites, look down on the flow of the Yoshino River from Kawashima Castle, and enjoy a traditional papermaking experience at the Awa Japanese Paper Traditional Industry Hall. After an early dinner at the shopping street in front of JR Kamojima Station, the central street in front of the station becomes the Awa Odori venue starting at 6:00 p.m. This course lets you fully enjoy an intimate, family-friendly Awa Odori unique to Yoshinogawa City, a town known for its history and traditional craftsmanship.
