2026 Imabari Citizen Festival "Onmaku" - Full Day Experience
A full-day experience celebrating the first day of Imabari Citizen Festival "Onmaku" (August 8, 2026), showcasing the charm of this port town known for towels and shipbuilding. In the morning, stroll through Imabari Castle with its beautiful seawater-filled moat, enjoy soft towels and gardens at Towel Museum ICHIHIRO, and view the iconic Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge from Sunrise Itoyama. After an early dinner at Honmachi Shopping Street, from 5 p.m., the entire harbor and shopping street areas transform into a festival celebration. A course where your family can fully experience the energy of "Onmaku" with its spectacular lion dances and performances lighting up the port town.
