2026 Kumejima Festival: A Full One-Day Course
This one-day course lets you fully enjoy the Kumejima Festival, held at Fureai Park in Kumejima Town (held September 5-6, 2026, with the first day as the highlight). On Kumejima, also known as the Island of Kumi, tour Tatami-ishi with its rows of hexagonal rock formations, Miifuga, the island's iconic rock, and the home of the traditional craft Kumejima-tsumugi, then relax at Eef Beach with its beautiful white sand. In the evening, head at last to Fureai Park. Enjoy the island's biggest festival, featuring Eisa dance, parades, and a wide variety of events, along with the warm sense of community unique to a remote island, as a family bringing summer to its close.
