2026 Ishizaki Hotō Festival Full-Day Course
A one-day course centered around the Ishizaki Hotō Festival held in Ishizaki-cho, a port town facing Nanao Bay in Noto (held August 1, 2026, with the venue around Hachiman Shrine). In the daytime, enjoy panoramic views of Nanao Bay from Nanao Castle Ruins, renowned for its impregnability, and explore Omaruyama Castle Ruins Park, famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, and Ippon-sugi Street with its traditional merchant houses lined up in a row. In the evening, savor fresh seafood dinner at the Noto Food Festival Market, and as the sun begins to set, head to the venue in Ishizaki-cho. Young men carry giant hotō lanterns (kiriko) towering over a dozen meters high, parading through the streets with spirited bearing—an impressive sight. A course where you can experience both the history of a castle town and the majestic summer festival of a port town in a single day.
