2026 Kuroishi Neputa Festival - Full-Day Experience Course
A full-day course centered on the first day of the 'Kuroishi Neputa Festival' (July 30–August 5, 2026), a summer celebration in Tsugaru's small castle town. In the afternoon, visit Michi-no-Eki Inakashikatamura, known for Japan's finest Tanbo Art. Stroll through the charming 'Komise' arcade, Kuroishi's iconic street, and explore a local sake brewery to experience Tsugaru's sake culture. After an early dinner at a nearby restaurant, you're ready for the main event: Neputa floats departing from Miyuki Park and parading through the streets. The glowing lanterns and calls of 'Ya-ya-do!' create a warm, intimate atmosphere unique to this small Tsugaru town. Experience a full day of Tanbo Art, castle-town walks, festival processions, and Tsugaru charm.
