2026 Saga Prefectural Forest Park Splash Pool One-Day Course

This is a one-day local outing course centered on the Splash Pool (Seseragi Plaza) (じゃぶじゃぶ池（せせらぎ広場）) at Saga Prefectural Forest Park (佐賀県立森林公園) in Kubota-cho, Saga City. In 2026, the splash pool appears in the middle of the Seseragi Plaza from Saturday, April 25 to mid-October. The water is shallow, about 10cm deep, and equipped with a filtration system, making it a perfect spot for small children's first water-play experience, taking off their shoes and getting used to the water. Admission and parking are both free, and the ease of being able to visit on a whim on a nice day is its biggest appeal. The park also has large combination play equipment at the Learning Plaza, toddler-friendly combination equipment at the Health Plaza, and a 35,000 square-meter lawn plaza, one of the largest in the prefecture, so you'll have no trouble finding places to play before and after the water. The symbolic fountain of the natural pond also runs from April 25 to mid-October, adding a refreshing touch to the park's scenery. In the morning, learn about the castle town's history at the Saga Castle Honmaru Historical Museum (佐賀城本丸歴史館), where Saga Castle's Honmaru Palace has been reconstructed, then spend a moment gazing at the wide sky on the riverbank of the Kase River (嘉瀬川). For lunch, spread out a picnic on the lawn plaza and play on the equipment for a while, then finally head to the splash pool in the afternoon.
