2026 Kita Park Jabujabu Pond Full-Day Course

A one-day local outing course built around Kita Park Jabujabu Pond (北公園 ジャブジャブ池) in Takatsubaru, Kashima City. According to the 2026 listing on Saga Prefecture's official tourism site Asobo Saga (あそぼーさが), the season runs from Wednesday 1 July to Monday 31 August, with hours of 9:00 to 17:00. Kashima City's official guide only states that it "opens for a limited period, hours 9:00 to 17:00, and opening days must be confirmed with the Kita Park management office", so calling ahead before you go is the sure approach. Jabujabu Pond is a 550-square-metre water play area for young children, with a maximum depth of 40 cm adjustable across three levels, and it is equipped with filtration and sterilisation systems. The management building has changing rooms and shower rooms (one each for men and women), coin lockers (24 each for men and women), a lounge and an outdoor terrace, so you will never be short of places to change or rest. Use is free, and only the hot shower costs 100 yen per use. The park also has a 5,500-square-metre lawn, the combination play structure Ikoi no Mori (憩いの森), and eight tennis courts, so the fun continues even after you have had enough of the water. In the morning, pay your respects at Yutoku Inari Shrine (祐徳稲荷神社), counted among Japan's three great Inari shrines, then walk the Sake Brewery Street of Hizen Hamashuku, where white walls and thatched roofs remain. At lunchtime, eat and shop at the Michi-no-Eki Kashima roadside station while gazing over the Ariake Sea tidal flats, and in the afternoon it is finally time for Kita Park Jabujabu Pond.
