2026 Domeki Park Seseragi Stream Full-Day Course
This is a course for spending a whole day in a town along Tokyo Bay, starring the Domeki Park Seseragi Stream in Sodegaura City. What makes this park's water play area special is that groundwater drawn from an artesian well is channelled through a natural-stone streambed, so you can enjoy cool water even at the height of summer. It also has large play equipment and a lawn plaza, so families can move back and forth between the water and the playground. Use is free, the 2026 opening period has not been announced, and in most years the water flows during the summer holidays. In the morning, head first to the Sodegaura City Local Museum inside Sodegaura Park. Looking out over the Upper Pond and Lower Pond, take an unhurried look at exhibits on the history of this land and the tools of daily life. Just before noon, move to Sodegaura Seaside Park and spread out your lunch box by the sea with a view of Tokyo Bay and the industrial belt. In the afternoon, return to Domeki Park and play in the flowing groundwater until evening. It is a plan that visits three waterfronts of quite different character in one day: a pond, the sea and spring water. Note that the summer outdoor pool is a separate facility, so check before you set out to make sure you do not go to the wrong place.
