2026 Kashihara Jabu-Jabu Park Full-Day Course
A course for a full day of play close to home, built around Kashihara Jabu-Jabu Park (Kashihara Sports Park), held at Kashihara Sports Park in Kashihara City. It runs from Saturday, July 18, 2026 to Wednesday, September 30, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as well as during the Obon period (August 10 to 14), from 9:30 to 16:00. The centerpiece is a shallow splash pool only about 20 cm deep, so even children who have only just started walking can play safely together with a guardian. With a kids' slider, a mist zone, paddle boats, a water gun zone and many other kinds of play, elementary school children will not get bored either. For children who would rather not get wet there is a kids' bike area, so siblings with different tastes are covered. Tents may be brought into the rest area, so you can create your own base out of the sun (large tents 2.5 m or taller are not allowed). A barbecue area is also set up for a limited period, so you can spend the whole day here. In the morning, breathe deeply on the broad approach of Kashihara Jingu Shrine (橿原神宮), walk through Imai-cho (今井町) with its surviving Edo-period townscape and take lunch there, then head to the splash pool in the afternoon. Operating days may change, so check the announcements on the official Instagram account before you set out.
Schedule
Savoring the morning air on a broad approach and in wooded grounds
Walking an Edo-period townscape and stopping for lunch
A whole afternoon at the shallow splash pool and the slider
