2026 Kyoei Park Stream and Wall Fountain: A Full Day of Fun
This is a full-day neighborhood outing course starring the Kyoei Park Stream and Wall Fountain in Tajimi City. Water play is available from July 18 to August 31, 2026, between 10:00 and 16:00. The stream is only about ankle deep, so it can be enjoyed without a swimsuit, and it is easy enough to drop by on a whim. The wall fountain, where water pours down a wall, is about knee deep for children, so this is the spot for kids who want to get thoroughly wet. The same park has a roller slide and an adventure playground, so the nice part is that you can move back and forth between the water and the play equipment. Use is free. In the morning, visit Kokeizan Eihoji Temple (虎渓山永保寺), home to a National Treasure Kannon Hall, and savor the summer morning air in its quiet garden. Next, at the Tajimi City Mino Ware Museum (多治見市美濃焼ミュージアム), get to know the Shino and Oribe masterpieces this town has nurtured. After lunch, move to the park, warm up on the roller slide, and then head into the water. Depending on the weather there are times when the water is not running, so it is reassuring to check before you set out. It is a day in which a calm morning in a pottery town flows straight into a splashing afternoon.
