2026 Mizube no Gakko Bubble Park Mikamo Jabu-Jabu Pond Plaza: A Full Day Course

This one-day course centers on Mizube no Gakko Bubble Park Mikamo Jabu-Jabu Pond Plaza, a free water play area inside an 18-hectare riverside park spreading along the Yoshino River in Higashimiyoshi Town. In 2026 the pond is filled and opened on the weekends of Aug 1 (Sat) 7:00 to Aug 2 (Sun) 18:00, Aug 8 (Sat) to Aug 9 (Sun), Aug 15 (Sat) to Aug 16 (Sun) and Aug 22 (Sat) to Aug 23 (Sun), each running straight through from 7:00 Saturday to 18:00 Sunday. The stage is the 3,900-square-meter Jabu-Jabu Pond Plaza inside the 14,500-square-meter Waterside School Zone, and its greatest appeal is the wide open space that lets parents and children play in the water freely. The grounds also include the Bamboo Grove and Study Garden Plaza (10,600 square meters), a Nature Observation Zone, a Bamboo Grove and Nature Zone, an Event Plaza Zone and a Sports Field Zone, so there is plenty to do besides the water. Admission is free. In the morning you look up at the ancient giant Great Camphor Tree of Kamo, walk among the river and rock scenery at Minoda-no-Fuchi on the Yoshino River, and have lunch at Minoda-no-Yu before heading to the water. Opening may be cancelled without notice in bad weather, so check the forecast and local conditions before you set out. Spend a summer weekend by the waters of the Yoshino River.
