2026 Michi-no-Eki Fureai-no-Sato HASU Park Jabujabu Pond Full-Day Course
This course centers on the ‘Michi-no-Eki Fureai-no-Sato HASU Park Jabujabu Pond’ in Aisai City, and lets you spend a full day playing close by. It's located inside a roadside station (michi-no-eki) that had its grand opening on Sunday, April 5, 2026. There's no announced operating period, and hours follow the roadside station's business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It's closed on Thursdays and during the New Year holidays, and there may be days it's unavailable due to maintenance, so check the official website for that day's status before heading out. It's free to use. Next door are Wanpaku Plaza and a play equipment plaza, so there's no shortage of things to do even if you tire of the water. There's also a restroom available 24 hours, which is reassuring for families. In the morning, visit the Morikawa Lotus Field, connected to the lotus root Aisai City is one of Japan's leading producers of, and take in the lotus leaves and flowers spreading across the water's surface. Next, head to the Sendo-hira Lock Gate connecting the Kiso and Nagara rivers. At this brick sluice gate, designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan, you can watch up close how boats are raised and lowered across the difference in water level. For lunch, enjoy dishes made with lotus root at the roadside station, and in the afternoon, spend your time splashing around at the Jabujabu Pond.
