2026 Fuchu-no-Mori Park Splash Pond: A Full-Day Course

In Fuchu-no-Mori Park in Fuchu City there is a free summer-only water play area, the Fuchu-no-Mori Park Splash Pond. The 2026 season runs from July 1 (Wed) to September 30 (Wed), from 9:30 to 16:00. It is closed on July 13, July 23, August 4, August 17, August 28, September 8 and September 18, and may also close in rainy weather. The venue is Fuchu-no-Mori Park in Fuchu City, a large park spread with lawns, a pond and a fountain. The Fuchu Art Museum also stands on the grounds, making this a rare location where water play and art viewing can be linked in a single day. Admission is free and there are toilets in the park. Tents may not be set up, so use the tree shade and a picnic sheet for sun protection. In the morning you visit Okunitama Shrine, the head shrine of Musashi Province, then cool off while touring the works at the Fuchu Art Museum. At lunch you spread out a bento on the park lawn, and in the afternoon you play in the splash pond until the 16:00 closing. Both the Keio Line and the JR Nambu Line serve the area, making this a neighborhood outing that can be done entirely by train.
