2026 Full-Day Course: Miyoshi Water Play Plaza (美好水遊び広場)

This one-day course centers on Miyoshi Water Play Plaza (美好水遊び広場) in Fuchu City and is completed entirely within the town of Fuchu. In 2026 it operates from July 18 (Sat) through August 30 (Sun), open 10:00-17:30, with a three-session shift system requiring advance reservation: Session 1 (10:00-12:00), Session 2 (13:00-15:00), and Session 3 (15:30-17:30). The main attraction is a stream 0-25cm deep and 5-6.3m wide, complete with jumping showers, a spectacle-shaped bridge (Megane-bashi), and other features that captivate small children. Fees for city residents are 100 yen for adults, 60 yen for high school students, and 30 yen for children (double for non-residents; per session), and admission is free with a disability certificate or similar. This course uses the gaps between sessions for exploring the town: in the morning, visit Okunitama Shrine (大國魂神社), the grand shrine of ancient Musashi Province. At the adjacent Furusato Fuchu History Museum (ふるさと府中歴史館), trace Fuchu's history, then have lunch at Purari to Keio Fuchu (ぷらりと京王府中) in front of Fuchu Station. In the afternoon, enter Miyoshi Water Play Plaza in time for Session 2 and enjoy the stream to your heart's content. Foot-washing basins and coin lockers (10 yen per use) are available, making it easy to move around light. Note that the facility is closed on July 24 (Fri), July 30 (Thu), August 5 (Wed), August 12 (Wed), August 18 (Tue), and August 24 (Mon); the water slide is out of service for fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8), and closures may also occur due to weather.
