About this spot

Tokyo Bay's only natural island preserves the remains of an old military fortress, perfect for adventure seekers. Brick tunnels built in the French style and gun emplacements are wrapped in deep greenery, as if stepping into a storybook world. You can also enjoy beach exploration and fishing on the sandy shore, offering unforgettable experiences for adventure-loving children. Bringing a bento lunch for a meal on the island is also recommended.

Tips

Some areas of the island have little shade, so bring plenty of water and hats. The tunnels are dimly lit; a small flashlight adds to the adventure atmosphere.

Allow 2-2.5 hours; early afternoon departures typically have more availability
