About this spot
A zoo within Inokashira Park featuring familiar animals up close. Popular attractions include the "Squirrel Path" where you can walk among free-ranging squirrels and small animal exhibits, plus a mini amusement park that keeps young children entertained. The separate Aquatic Creatures Garden lets you observe water-dwelling animals.
Tips
Note that the zoo is closed Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday). Children love watching squirrels scurry right past them on the Squirrel Path. You can navigate the entire garden with a stroller, and rentals are available.
Best time to visit
Allow 1.5 hours. It's most comfortable right after opening when it's uncrowded.
