Shell Hunting and Sandy Play at the West Beach of Kasai Kaihama Park

About this spot

An artificial beach that spreads out beyond the Nagisa Bridge from Kasai Rinkai Park. The mudflats, registered under the Ramsar Convention, are home to small crabs and shells. You can lose yourself in sandplay and creature-spotting while enjoying the sea breeze. It's a precious spot where you can experience seaside exploration near the city center.

Tips

Sand toys and a change of clothes are essential. Since there's little shade and few food vendors, don't forget drinks and a hat. There's a handwashing facility where you can rinse off sand before leaving.

Best time to visit

About 1+ hour. Low tide is the best time for play
