A station with an impressive white Southern European-style station building built near the terminal of the Choshi Electric Railway. The shop sells the famous "wet senbei" (damp rice crackers) and "barely edible sticks", and a commemorative photo with the retro single-car tram is hugely popular with train-loving children. The moment you step onto the platform, the excitement of travel fills the air.

Tips

Buying a day pass ticket called "Komawaite" (弧廻手形) at Choshi Station allows unlimited boarding and is economical. Tickets can also be purchased onboard, and your interaction with the conductor becomes a cherished travel memory.

Best time to visit

Takes about 30 minutes. Early morning trains are relatively quiet.
