Observe Natural Fish from the Observation Room 8 Meters Below the Sea Surface
About this spot
The underwater observation tower, standing 60 meters offshore, is one of Japan's largest. From the observation room 8 meters below the sea surface reached by a spiral staircase, you can observe natural, unfed fish in their natural habitat. Watching fish like stone bream and Japanese jack mackerel swim just outside the windows is breathtaking and a highlight of the journey unaffected by weather.
Tips
Discounted admission may be offered on days when the sea is murky. Check transparency and opening status on the official website before heading there for peace of mind.
Best time to visit
Allow 60-90 minutes. Early afternoon tends to be less crowded with good views.
