A beautiful sandy beach selected for "Japan's Best Beaches" and "Japan's Best Swimming Beaches," boasting outstanding water clarity among Boso's finest. Off the white sandy shore that curves in an arc floats Watari Island with a torii gate, and at sunset, the sea and island glow in soft colors. A spectacular spot perfect for ending your journey with a leisurely walk along the shore.
Tips
Outside the summer swimming season, the beach offers a quiet sandy stroll. During summer, parking is paid and crowded, so allow extra time. The offshore Watari Island is highly photogenic.
Best time to visit
Allow 30-45 minutes. The soft light of late afternoon is especially beautiful.
