Silhouettes of Sunset and Mt. Fuji Sinking into the Mirror Bay: Just for the Two of You
About this spot
A gently sloping sandy beach facing the calm Tateyama Bay, known as the 'Mirror Bay' (鏡ヶ浦). This is a rare location where you can see Mt. Fuji across the sea, and at dusk the sky and sea become tinged with crimson, creating a spectacular view. Take a slow walk along the shoreline and enjoy a sunset worthy of ending the day together.
Tips
If aiming for the sunset, arrive at the beach 30 minutes before sunset. Access is convenient, just about a 5-minute walk from JR Tateyama Station (JR館山駅). As the sun sets, the sea breeze becomes cold, so don't forget a jacket.
Best time to visit
Allow about 60 minutes. Arrive 30 minutes before sunset.
