Gaze out at Tokyo Bay from the cliff's edge—thrilling souvenir photos

About this spot

The highlight of Mt. Nokogiri sightseeing. Rock remnants from an old quarry jut out into the air, and from the observation platform at the tip, you can survey the valley bottom roughly 100 meters below, Tokyo Bay, and the Boso mountain ranges all at once. The thrill of peering over the railing at the cliff below is greater than you'd imagine, and the classic way to enjoy it is to take souvenir photos of each other standing at the outcropping.

Tips

On weekends around midday, photo queues form; early morning is your best bet for a shorter wait. The photo spot is on the rock face side in front of the observation platform, and rotating turns to photograph each other ensures everyone gets the best shot.

Best time to visit

30 to 60 minutes including photo wait time. Morning hours have shorter lines.
