About this spot

After about an hour rattling along on the Kominato Railway through the countryside from Goi Station, you arrive at Yoro-Keikoku Station, where a retro wooden station building welcomes you as the gateway to the valley. The rural scenery outside the train window is a treat in itself, and there's a foot bath right beside the station, where you can catch your breath at the start of the trip while watching the trains go by.

Tips

Trains are infrequent, so check the return time in advance. Bring a towel for the foot bath, and buying tickets with cash is the safer option.

Best time to visit

Stay 30 to 40 minutes. Outbound trains in the morning are relatively relaxed and uncrowded.
