An art museum that opens the studio and residence of Asao Asakura, a sculptor called the "Rodin of the East." A concrete atelier and traditional Japanese sukiya-style building blend exquisitely, and the courtyard with its still water soothes the soul simply by sitting and viewing it. The masterpiece "Grave Keeper" and charming cat sculptures are must-sees.

Tips

Wearing socks is reassuring since you'll remove your shoes inside. Photography is restricted in the museum, so commit it to memory. The museum is typically closed Mondays and Thursdays, so check the open days in advance.
