About this spot
Tokyo's only remaining traditional ferry, operating since the Edo period, connecting Shibamata and the opposite bank of Matsudo's Yakiri. The approximately 10-minute journey across the Edogawa River in a wooden boat operated by the ferryman is a small adventure for children. Famous as the setting of the novel and song 'Nogiku no Haka' (野菊の墓), the pleasant river breeze makes it a perfect finale to your trip.
