A historic Japanese garden continuing from the Edo period, where the plum blossom festival in early spring is a signature event of Tama. From the hilltop overlook, you can see the expanse of Tama's townscape, while the garden paths around the tea house and pond are adorned with seasonal flowers and autumn foliage. A quiet, elegant garden perfect for catching your breath after a busy day.

Tips

It's about a 10-minute uphill walk from Hyakuso-en Station, so carrying small children in a carrier is recommended. Note that closing times vary by season, so allow extra time for entry.

40 minutes in the late afternoon; especially beautiful during plum blossom and autumn foliage seasons
