Leisurely Stroll Along Stone-Paved Streets with Retro Architecture
About this spot
A shopping street lined for about 200 meters with storefront buildings that preserve the character of the Taisho era. The stone-paved street, with its buried electrical lines, offers clear skies and is exceptionally photogenic. The street is full of food-walking options including established Japanese sweet shops, freshly baked dumplings, and cream bread. It's the perfect warm-up before heading to the First Street warehouse district.
Tips
Easily accessible, about a 5-minute walk from Honkawagoe Station. Less crowded than First Street and easy to walk with a stroller; it's recommended to take photos in the morning.
Best time to visit
Allow 30 minutes to 1 hour. Relatively quiet in the morning and easier to walk around.
