A Power Spot Where the Thousand-Year-Old Dragon Spirit Tree Stands

An ancient shrine where the majestic "Dragon Spirit Tree," a large Japanese zelkova said to be over a thousand years old, stands prominently. The shrine grounds, where spring water flows from Mt. Bukoh, are filled with pure air and are known as one of Chichibu's most powerful spiritual sites, dedicated to the Eight Dragon Kings. The compact, shaded grounds are ideal for a leisurely midday rest.
