Create family memories with a heart-shaped rock passage—the 'Womb Crawl'
About this spot
Built in suspended-structure style, clinging to a cliff right next to Yoshimi Hyakuana. Stone Buddhist statues line a space carved into the rock, and behind the hall lies a heart-shaped rock passage—the 'womb crawl'—said to bring good relationships. A perfect companion to Yoshimi Hyakuana, this slightly mysterious and photogenic spot can be explored on foot.
Tips
The hall's stairs are steep, so hold young children's hands. The womb-crawl passage has slippery footing, so sturdy sneakers are essential. It's just a short walk from Yoshimi Hyakuana and admission is free.
