A memorial hall preserving part of the building of 'Sakura Juntendo,' a Dutch medical academy and hospital founded by Hanjiro Sato, a physician trained in Dutch medicine, in the late Edo period. From period medical instruments and materials on display, you can understand the advanced nature of Sakura, the town of Dutch studies, which was said to rival Nagasaki in the west. An essential destination for history enthusiasts, tracing the roots of Juntendo University.
