About this spot
The iconic hill of Hitachinaka Seaside Park. In spring, approximately 5.3 million nemophila flowers create a seamless blue expanse that blends with the sky and sea. In autumn, the hillside turns vivid red with kochia flowers. From the hilltop, you can take in sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Peak viewing times are typically mid-April to early May and around mid-October.
Tips
The hill gets crowded even in the morning during peak flower season. The gentle slope to the summit is accessible with a stroller. Coming down slowly while enjoying ocean views is recommended.
