Walk through the green tunnel approach and pray for family health
About this spot
An ancient shrine with over 1,100 years of history since its founding. The approximately 300-meter approach lined with tabunoki and camellia trees forms a mystical "green tunnel." Beyond the approach, the sea comes into view, and the turtle stone statue—said to bring good fortune when touched—is popular with families.
Tips
The approach is shaded and cool even in summer, with flat terrain that's easy to navigate with a stroller. Be sure to touch the lucky turtle stone statue with your children—it's famous for lottery jackpot wishes.
