Get Thrilled by Real Rockets and Full-Scale Artificial Satellites
About this spot
JAXA's largest facility where you can experience the frontiers of Japan's space development. The free exhibition hall "Space Dome" features full-scale artificial satellites and a model of the Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo" of the International Space Station. In the outdoor rocket plaza, a real H-IIA rocket standing about 50 meters tall welcomes visitors.
Tips
The free exhibition hall alone is satisfying enough. Reserve guided tours and paid tours in advance through the official website. Strollers are welcome and parking is free.
Best time to visit
Allow 90 minutes. It's relatively quiet right after opening.
