Walk across a towering 100-meter suspension bridge and enjoy the gorge's spectacular views
About this spot
A pedestrian-only suspension bridge among the largest in Honshu, spanning the Ryujin Gorge. The view from 100 meters above of the V-shaped gorge and dam lake below is breathtaking, and the bridge features a glass-floored observation window mid-way. Parents and children can experience the mountain's seasonal colors together.
Tips
The bridge deck is flat and can be crossed with a baby stroller. On windy days, be careful as hats can blow away. The bridge toll is the same for round-trip passage, and there is a shop and restroom on the entrance side.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. The parking lot gets crowded during midday holidays, so going early is recommended.
