Explore behind the waterfall and enjoy specialty handmade buckwheat noodles at the tea house
About this spot
A rare waterfall you can walk behind, also called 'Ura-mi Falls' (rear-view falls). The mystical light filtering through the water curtain is enchanting, and in summer it feels like a natural air conditioner. The tea house on the grounds serves the region's specialty handmade buckwheat noodles, making it perfect for lunch.
Tips
The area behind the waterfall has rocky, slippery terrain, so always hold children's hands. Bring a towel and extra socks as you will get wet from the mist.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. The tea house tends to be full during midday in summer.
