About this spot
The glass-walled station building, whose design was overseen by architect Kazuyo Sejima, has been called one of the most beautiful stations in the world. From the observation spot at the end of the free passage, you can take in the whole Pacific Ocean. The horizon shimmering in the clear morning light makes for a perfect view to start your trip.
Tips
The observation spot is in the free passage outside the ticket gates, so you can visit even without a ticket. Elevators are available throughout, so strollers are no problem. The morning light is beautiful, making it a great time for photos.
Best time to visit
About 20 minutes to visit. Mornings are less crowded and comfortable.
