Sakasai Castle Ruins Park
Flow of the course
About this spot
A park developed from the castle ruins of the Hojo clan from the late Sengoku period. Based on archaeological excavations, a two-story watchtower, elevated guard tower, and castle gate have been reconstructed, making it feel as though you've stepped back into the Sengoku era. From the watchtower, you can overlook the Kanto Plain, and simply walking between the moats and earthen walls sparks a sense of adventure. A hidden gem where children's interest in history can blossom.
Tips
Admission is free and the parking lot is spacious. The grounds have slopes and stairs, so a baby carrier is easier to navigate than a stroller. Use the restroom near the entrance before exploring.
Best time to visit
Allow 45 minutes to 1 hour. Not crowded, so you can take your time.
