This is the gateway to Kinugawa Onsen. The station plaza has a free foot bath called Kinuta no Yu, where you can soothe your tired feet after a day of walking. On days when the SL Taiju steam train is running, you can watch a demonstration of it being turned around at the turntable plaza, which delights train-loving kids. Souvenir shops line the area too, making it the perfect way to wrap up the trip.

Tips

Don't forget a towel for the foot bath. Check the SL Taiju's operating days and the turntable demonstration times in advance on the Tobu Railway official website.

Best time to visit

About 30 minutes. Timing your visit with the SL's arrival or departure is ideal.
