About this spot

This 140-meter pedestrian-only suspension bridge spans the area south of the Kinugawa Onsen hot spring town. From atop the bridge, about 40 meters high, you can take in the majestic gorge scenery of the famous Tateiwa Rock and the Kinugawa River. Kids get thrilled by the gentle swaying of the bridge. From the observation deck on the far side, you can look out over the hot spring town.

Tips

There's free parking, so it's easy to stop by. Some days the wind is strong on the bridge, so watch out for hats blowing away. In the evening, the gorge is dyed a golden color.

Best time to visit

About 30 minutes. Best when the evening light is lighting up the gorge.
