A pastoral sightseeing farm spreading across the foothills of Mount Haruna. At the famous sheepdog show, the herding dogs drive the flock of sheep in an exhilarating spectacle that captivates both adults and children. Animal feeding experiences with sheep and goats, rabbit interactions, and butter-making workshops are available for everyone from small children to grandparents to enjoy at a leisurely pace. Fresh milk soft-serve ice cream is also a specialty.
Tips
Check the sheepdog show times upon entry and plan your route in reverse order—that's the secret. The grounds have many slopes, so comfortable walking shoes and a baby carrier are safer than a stroller.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours. Shortly after opening, the show is easy to see and crowds are minimal.
