About this spot

A long-established Mizusawa udon restaurant reportedly founded over four hundred years ago. Hand-made udon noodles with strong chewiness and silky smooth texture are served with fragrant sesame sauce and soy sauce—two varieties to savor. A popular shop where lines form to experience this famous noodle dish counted among Japan's three great noodles. Its compatibility with maitake mushroom tempura is exceptional, and the restaurant has the distinguished character befitting a three-generation lunch.

Tips

Lines are inevitable on weekend lunch hours. You can spend the wait time at the gift shop at the entrance. Tatami seating is available, so even small children and grandparents can dine comfortably.
