Next stop: Manufacturing introduction through history displays and hands-on workshops at the industrial museumAbout this spot
A roadside station right next to Tsubame-Sanjo Station that serves as the gateway to the production area. The merchandise hall displays around 10,000 metal products from local manufacturers—knives, cutlery, copperware, kitchen tools, and more—and simply browsing conveys the true power of Tsubame-Sanjo's manufacturing prowess. You can purchase favorite items on the spot, making it perfect for gift shopping too. Starting here to grasp the full picture of the production area before heading to factory tours will double the enjoyment of your day.
Tips
Free parking and strollers welcome. The spoon-polishing experience (fee, around a few hundred yen) is easy for children to try and makes a nice souvenir. While you can shop again on the way out, it's helpful to jot down items of interest to avoid getting lost.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour required. Early morning after opening offers a relaxed viewing experience.
